Understanding CADR Ratings

CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) measures how quickly a purifier can clean the air in a specific room size, expressed in cubic feet per minute (CFM). A higher CADR means faster, more effective air cleaning.

The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) recommends choosing a purifier with a CADR that is at least 2/3 of your room's square footage. For example, a 300 sq ft room needs at least 200 CADR.

For allergy and asthma sufferers, or during wildfire season, choose a purifier with a CADR that covers a room 1.5x larger than yours for maximum protection.
